33 - Locomotives Mamut & Martorell

The locomotive Mamut, and the one right next to it on the tracks is called Martorell, they are the oldest preserved in all of Spain.

Look Victor, up ahead is the control box, like cars have, and a boiler where the coal used to be burned to boil the water which was turned into steam. And this steam is what moves the wheels and makes the locomotive move forward. Imagine how bad how bad it must have been for the drivers of these first machines, and the machine operators and coal stokers, without a roof and with so much heat.
