A solution for travelling a long way

The first locomotives were small and were usually used for very short trips because they didn’t have enough space to store the water and coal needed to make it move a long distance.

Then it occurred to the train manufacturers to attach the locomotive onto a type of open wagon that could be loaded with coal and water. This way they could keeping running and make longer trips... This wagon is called a tender, or coal car, and if you look closely you can see that Mamut already has one attached.

You’d like to climb aboard right? Patience... First we are going to attend the first train journey that was ever made in Spain.
